ADULTHOOD: ARE YOU READY FOR IT?
My first-hand experience with adulthood can be summed up in only one word: HARD. It has been chaotic, stressful, full of anxiety, and bewildering. It's a maze of twist and turn on every corner, aimed to polish you further but ends up bringing you down. You continuously get anxious looking at how much others have accomplished or have the motivation to, and are still lost on how to do so. The first thought that always pops up in your mind is "Who are these people? Where do they come from?" You dream big but lose your confidence along the line. You are expected to live your life to the fullest but still do 4 internships a year with a 4 grade GPA. Sometimes I wonder if adulthood is a myth, because I believe, or like to believe that not everyone has it together and they all cry under their blankets at 3am, they are just really showing up to people.
So how do you get out of this maze? Turns out no compass or map can solve this mystery, the answer is all in you. Much like the ancient wisdom protected by the Freemasons, that believed that each one of us has the ability to become godlike. Maybe you are not ready to face the maze, and that's OK, don't push yourself to it. The loneliness you feel right now is temporary because I am sure there are hundreds of others in your hostel who feel the same and you think everyone is well-versed and is not alone, trust me I am still catching up.
