COUNT THE NUMBER OF…..

 


Count the number of people you have met in your life. Just count. Count the shopkeeper who always grins at you no matter how much you bargain and the count the ablaze neighbor who will do nothing but curse at you every time you ring their doorbell just to make some memories to laugh at. And now think of how much they have influenced you. Can’t think of an answer? Same! I never realized that every time I walk into my classroom, the 46 familiar faces shape my thinking process even though half of them never talked to me. Every minute action action or emotion can make you jealous, joyous, astonished or hollow. Take a quick glance back at life and you will realize that your personality is a cloth woven by a unique set of thread that is every face you have ever seen. So, sit back and ponder, why you are successful or alone or rude or content and how they contributed to your and changed you as a person.

In 1425, Joan of Arc, a 13 y/o girl, believed that  she heard the voice of God telling her to drive the English out of France. Consequently, she was tried for witchcraft and heresy in 1431, at the age of 19. Crazy, right? But what if she wasn't crazy and deeply believed in something? The greatest thinkers of the world believed in something so strongly that it changed the world. Different people have faith in different things. And that's ok-7% of the world population are convinced atheists. But that doesn't mean they don't have faith in other people, in a better world, in the mysteries of the universe.
